adobe acrobat reader always opening . not Acrobat pro,

When i open files on my hard drive it always opens as the reader verison not the full acrobat pro. 

The default open app on windows settings just says acrobat doesnt give me the option to do either reader or pro. If I right click on the file and go to" open with " and click acrobat pro it works.  But just double clicking on the file it always opens in "reader"

What is your OS and version?

 

You will need to force the path of the application to Acrobat Pro. Make sure that the reader is not running, when opening your file.

A different approach is to start Acrobat Pro before start working with PDF files. Only one Acrobat program runs at the same time.
