Adobe Acrobat Reader DC hangs when selecting digital signature

New Here ,

Hi,

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on macOS Sierra 10.12.6. When I try to digitally sign a PDF document it hangs when I select the digital signature and click on "Sign". You can check the step when it hangs on this image: https://imagebin.ca/v/3ZgFddGMQApL I already tried to update and reinstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. None of them helped.

Acrobat Reader DC version:

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 17.12.20098.240878

AGM: 4.30.71

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.38798

Any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks,

kukukk

Hi Kukukk,

Edited-

Sorry for the delay in response to your query.

As mentioned above, that application is getting hanged or freezing while using the digital signature. So does this happen with one particular document or all the files you select for the "Digital Signature"?

You may try installing the latest update of Adobe Reader DC>Help>Check for update and if that still doesn't help then refer to the help document and follow the steps to reset application's preferences.

How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

Let us know if you still experience the same problem.

Hi,

I'm trying to digitally sign pdf documents and it happens with all the files I try.

"Adobe Acrobat Reader is already up to date."

As I mentioned in my original post, I'm using macOS, so I don't have "Documents and Settings" folder.

Note:

A few years ago it worked.

Best regards,

kukukk

Hi Kukukk,

I apologize for that. I have just updated the correct help document to reset the Acrobat's preferences.

As its already updated, then you may recreate the application preferences and see if that helps.
