HI

I have adobe acrobat reader installed on my macbook pro (version 10.13.6) and adobe has not been able to open for the last number of days.

Screen Shot 2018-07-16 at 18.15.30.png

It looks like it's opening in the tool bar but the file is not opening.

Any thoughts?

Hello Noel94th,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, please reboot the machine once and launch Adobe Reader and try opening the few PDF files from Window>Cascade>Tile and see if that brings up the PDFs.

Check for any pending updates of Adobe Reader from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing any updates.

You can also refer and try the suggestions from Adobe article Can't open PDF

Are you not able to open all the PDF files or any specific PDF file? If Adobe Reader seems to be frozen on the screen, then use Acrobat cleaner tool to remove Adobe Reader Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the machine and install the latest version of Adobe Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
