When I try to open a pdf file the Adobe on my MacBook looks like it's going to open, but it fails to open the pdf files.  I have tried to reinstalling, but it does not help.

What can I do now?

Hi Marleenar75884322,

Could you please confirm the exact version of Acrobat Reader DC and your Mac OS?

  • Open Activity monitor and close all the Adobe instances running under it.
  • launch Reader go to Help>Check for update (if any update is available)

Try to open PDF document and see if that works.

Regards,

Akanchha
