Adobe Acrobat Reader DC quit unexpectedly- Mac Catalina OS 10.15.7

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is not opening. I get an error message that it has "quit unexpectedly". I have rebooted my MacBook with no change. I have not tried removing and reinstalling. Any suggestions? I get a lot of PDF documents so this is a "must have" application. The problem details and system configuration follow:
