Adobe Acrobat Reader for Mobile Devices Inquiry

Does anyone know whether Adobe plans to create an updated version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader for mobile devices that would virtually support all form features presently supported by Adobe Reader running on desktop/laptop computers in Windows 10? Needless to say, this would be a Godsend for those like myself who design/develop interactive PDF forms for Adobe Reader using Adobe Acrobat Pro. I mention this because I have yet to see a PDF reader or mobile form app that can compete with the Javascript-driven features an interactive PDF form designed/developed in Acrobat Pro can provide. What say you?

Don't hold your breath. Adobe have had over 10 years to address the issue of feature parity on the mobile reader, and mobile capabilities are no longer the hold up. It's clear Adobe don't even understand the concept of "feature parity", still less have any aim of delivering it. They don't even seem to understand, for example, that the limited JavaScript implementation causes severe portability issues. Instead of fixing the details, they periodically add headline grabbing big new features. Also, they believe that adding functionality to the online service is just as good as adding it to the product.

I totally agree with your perception. However, what's really most disappointing and disillusioning is that if Adobe were to update their Reader for mobile devices to support the same properties, methods provided in the API Javascript reference that their Adobe Reader does for desktop/laptop computers, the opportunities are virtually endless for those who design/develop interactive PDF forms for desktop/laptop computers using custom scripts to simplify/facilitate the completion of a fillable, interactive PDF in a fraction of the time to which most are unaccustomed. IMO, this in itself would work wonders for and far exceed Adobe's current marketing strategies. Last but not least, I really believe that those pushing HTML forms and mobile phone apps are misleading in their attempt to convince those married to their mobile devices that all forms are mobile compatible. In reality, this couldn't be further from the truth.

Sorry but I believe you missed my point. As I am only too aware of the features you listed supported by Adobe Reader for mobile devices, it still fails to support certain properties, methods provided in the API Javascript reference as it does on a desktop/lap PC running Adobe Reader Version X or higher. Please read questions carefully b4 you respond.
