Adobe Acrobat Reader Subscription Now?

New Here ,
Sep 01, 2025 Sep 01, 2025

HI Community

I'm on an iMac OS Ventura 13.7.8. When I've opened up several of my pdfs, the Adobe Acrobat Reader is asking me to sign up for a plan. Um, is there a way to read my pdfs on my computer for free?

Thank you,

Lucinda

Hi @LucindaL

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the troubled experience. I can understand how frustrating it can be.

Let's try the following steps:

1. Uninstall Reader using the cleaner tool: https://adobe.ly/4lZsPK2

2. Reinstall Reader: https://adobe.ly/3VuSorm

3. Log in with an Adobe ID that has never had a subscription. And if you try any paid feature, Reader will prompt you for an upgrade.

4. Also, you may try using a Browser Extension: https://adobe.ly/4lZsTJM

Let us know how it works.
