adobe acrobat reader trying to authenticate user

After upgrade to Monterey, when i get prompted to authinticate "adobe acrobat reader trying to authenticate user" after the 8th letter it greys out. Previous to Monterey upgrade this was working and the Authintication pin was 13 letters not 8.

Please assist
