Adobe Acrobat Reader

What a useless piece of marketing. Totally frustrating.  The site says you can download and use Adobe Acrobat Reader free to combine pdf files.  After logging in, downloading and installing, all I can access is a screen offering to sell me Adobe products on a subscription basis.  A complete waste of time.  And a completely false misrepresentation of what is supposed to be available free.  Who would ever want to visit any part of this product again???????

    Hi Royt,

As you have seen it on website, definitely Adobe Reader has always been a free application. It offers limited features to access.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software is the free, trusted global standard for viewing, printing, signing, sharing, and annotating PDFs. It's the only PDF viewer that can open and interact with all types of PDF content – including forms and multimedia. And now, it’s connected to Adobe Document Cloud – so you can work with PDFs on computers and mobile devices.

With Acrobat Reader DC, you can also unlock premium features to do more with PDFs when you purchase a subscription to Adobe PDF Pack, Adobe Export PDF, or Adobe Sign.

Where does it say that you can use Reader to combine PDF files for free?

The reader is free, there might be some "offers" that are optional, but the reader always has been free.
