Adobe Pro 9.5 is set as default app but Adobe DC opens instead

I have set system default to open all PDFs using Adobe Pro 9.5 but Adobe DC opens the document instead. I've tried changing it in properties on a document. I click on the Adobe Pro 9.5 but it will not change

Adobe don't support mixing versions. If you mix apps, you just have to give up any expecation of double click as a way of opening PDFs.
