Hello, I would like to know why on some occasions after a while the PC starts up, the Adobe RdrCEF (32 bits) program runs in the background by itself without having started it, is it something common or is it an error?

Hi @hola27903504wd6s

Sorry for the delay in response.

"When you launch Reader or Acrobat, the following additional processes are listed in the Windows Task Manager - RdrCEF.exe and AcroCEF.exe.

What do these processes do, and is it possible to disable them? Here's an official help article that would let you know this in detail:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/RdrCEF-exe-and-AcroCEF-exe-can-I-disable.html

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Akanchha

The problem is that these processes appear in the task manager without me having launch the reader or acrobat.

And additionally these four Adobe RdrCEF processes open automatically together with Adobe ARM and after a while they disappear from the taskmanager

@hola27903504wd6s in that case, did you get the chance to check whether Acrobat Reader has been added to the startup programs?

Open Task Manager>Stratup>check the list In Acrobat Reader is there, then disable it.

Or you may

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat Reader installer from here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

and observe its behavior.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hello, sorry for the delay to response, the program dont appear in startup, and dont start when i turn up the PC, what happens is that sometimes in some moments, in the task manager the Adobe ARM process appears together with four other Adobe RdrCEF processes (32 bits).

The photo shows the process that I mentioned and added to these the Adobe ARM process, all this without opening any adobe program.

Mi thought is that Adobe is updating or looking for updates and thats why they appear, but I would need confirmation, thanks.
