Adobe Reader Active screen turns black when clicked on

I've started to see this black screen as soon as I click on the pdf sheet. This issue was posted earlier on but for some reason, I can't see the option, "Tell the troubleshooter to run this program in Windows 7 compatability mode". Can someone please help?

Hi there

 

Hope you are doing ewll and sorry for the trouble. As described the active screen turns black when clicked on. and you are unable to see the option to run this program in Windows 7 compatability mode.

 

On your Windows desktop screen, right click on the Acrobat Reader DC and go to properties > Under the 'Compatibility' Tab select 'Run this program in compatiblity mode for' and select Windows 7 from the dropdown list as shown in the screenshot below:
