Adobe Reader & MacOS Catalina

Im trying to install an update to Adobe Flash Player.  Message states that its not supported by the latest version of the MacOS Catalina.

 

I have to do video responses for a work product.  Does anyone have any solution (s)?

[moderator: changed title from 'Adobe Flash Player & OS Catalina" to "Adobe Reader & MacOS Catalina" as the screenshot provided indicates this is an issue with the Reader installer, not Flash Player.  Also moving to appropriate Reader forum, even though issue appears to be resolved]

    I am having same issue after downloading MAC OS Catalina.  Here is the message I get:

     

     

     

    "About the transition to 64-bit technology and how it affects 32-bit apps.

     

    Apple began transitioning to 64-bit hardware and software technology for Mac over a decade ago, and all modern Macs now include powerful 64-bit processors that can run advanced 64-bit apps. These apps can access dramatically more memory, enable faster system performance, and take advantage of technologies that define today's Mac experience, 

    Apple has been working with developers to transition their apps, and in 2018 Apple informed them that macOS Mojave would be the last version of macOS to run 32-bit apps. 

    Apple's transition to 64-bit technology is now complete. Starting with mac OS Catalina 32-bit apps are no longer compatible with macOS. If you have a 32-bit app, please check with the app develper for a 64-bit version."

     

    ME: So it is up to Adobe to update its acrobat reader to be compatable with Catalina but they have not!!!!!

    That message means you need the latest Reader. Adobe HAVE UPDATED IT. http://get.adobe.com/reader

    Don’t download from anywhere else, there are no other authorised distributors, and many fakes. Never use Google to find software downloads...

    By the way, the message means you haven’t updated Reader for at least 4 years. The name changed to Acrobat Reader, so we can tell your software is very old indeed.

    What is the exact message you get?

    Basically states that MacOS Catalina doesn't support the updated Adobe Flash Player. Hence, the system is not allowing the update to take place and the new version of Catalina is not compatible with the old Abdoe version. I've called Adobe but they cannot help. 
    Trying to install the update right from the downloads. When I click on the Adobe flash player that's already installed I got a pop-up box that says it needs to be updated. When I click on OK that's where everything goes wrong. The system is not allowing the update because it's not compatible with the new version of macOS Catalina.

      Please not “basically states”. Please tell us the EXACT words of the message. Also where do you download from: this is very important indeed as there are many dangerous fake updates.
