Hi,

We're recieving the error "adobe reader cannot open in protected mode due to an incompatibility with your system configuration. Would you like to proceed?" this is then backed up by two radio buttons.

This is installed on WS2016 machine with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (21.007.20095) (there are no further updates to apply)

We would like Protected mode to remain in place and don't wish to disable just to sort the issue.

Hi, Sorry for the delayed response, I've been making active tweeks for this and haven't yet found a fix for it. The discussion you linked wasn't helpful. We don't use malwarebytes and our AV has not flagged anything up for us to allow through.

This was deployed on a server that users connect to and it's not effecting them all. Would a complete uninstall of adobe with relelevent clean up tools assist?

Thanks,

LATEST

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to update the application to the recent version 21.07.20099 from the help menu > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.
