Adobe Reader crashing on print

I am trying to print from the latest free download of acrobat pro dc. I'm trying to print to a Konica 580.

However the program "stops working" each time I try to print.

The error message is simply that the program has stopped working, no specific error message.

Printing to the Konica is fine from other programs.

I'm hoping someone can help as I'm a bit stuck!

Thanks

Please try removing all the traces of Reader on your computer using Cleaner tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the machine then.

And, install Reader DC from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Reboot the machine once again and try to print.

Hi This Rough Magic,

Based on the issue description mentioned above, Adobe Reader is crashing when trying to print, is that correct?

Could you please try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Check if you are running the latest version of Reader, click Check for Updates under Help.

2- Try printing as image- here are the steps on how to: Print PDF as image | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

3- If that doesn't work, print after disabling protected mode: launch Reader > click Edit > Preferences > under Security ( Enhanced ) > uncheck the box Enable Protected Mode at startup

Relaunch Reader and try again.

Would it be possible if you can share the dot version of Reader installed on the machine?

Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

And, the operating system you have on the machine- Mac/Windows?

Let us know how it goes.

I've tried this several times and program is still crashing.

Edit - Preferences - crashes

Print - crashes

How can I roll back to the version prior to the latest update?

Thanks for reporting your issue here.

Can you help identify the issue, that you're facing :

  1. Acrobat/Reader version installed & Subscription (Pro/Standard/Trial)
  2. Windows 10 is liscenced? Pro/Home/Business
  3. Is the issue reproducible for a singe file or all files?
  4. Is the issue recently started or has been occuring from a long run?

None of these solutions work. Even trying to open the preferences menu crashes the program. Please advise.
