Adobe Reader crashing on Windows Server 2016 remote desktop host
We have recently installed a new Windows 2016 based terminal server farm.
We installed Adobe Reader DC downloaded from the Adobe website. When we run it, the main window pops up but then it crashes with the message "Adobe Acrobat Reader has stopped working" and then the only option is to click on the close program button.
The event viewer is showing:

What I have found is if I log in and get a temporary profile (I can make this happen by logging in to 2 servers with the same username) then it does not crash.
Note I can't go into options to try some of the fixes I have seen on the Internet because it crashes before then.
I have been struggling with this for a week and tried various reinstalls etc.
Thanks
