As Adobe Reader XI is EoL I am looking for the next release to deploy to my company.

Of course there is "Reader DC" but I also found a perfectly funtioning "Reader 2017" - which is NOT DC.

See a screenshot of a coparison (dont mind the German GUI):

Personally I would rather go with Reader 2017.

I like the GUI better and the release cycles seem more company-friendly:

Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader
Also we don't use any Adobe Cloud features.

As you can see we have three choices:
Reader DC (continious track; always newest features)
Reader DC (classic track; mostly security updates)
Reader 2017 (only classic track)

Adobe seems like "keeping silence" about Reader 2017 and I would be afraid that it gets dropped within a few months, so I am unsecure of switching vom Reader XI to Reader 2017.

Does anyone have more liable information about "Reader 2017"??
