Adobe Reader error code: 2148532255

My job consists of digitally signing documents for foreign nationals. They have to obtain an CAC prior then sign a SAAR form to gain access to the network. When they attempt to sign the SAAR-N form, I receive an error  that states "The windows cryptographic service provider reported an error." An unexpected card error has occurred. Error Code 2148532255. Can some please give some direction on what may be causing this? Thanks in advance.

    Check if this helps.

    Could you please confirm the dot version of Adobe Reader installed on your system.

    For that, go to Help menu > About Adobe Acrobat Reader.

      Could you please try updating application to the latest patch released.

      Go to Help menu > Check for updates.
