Adobe Reader Full-Screen Mode Prevents Windows OS Auto Lock GPO

Community Beginner ,

It would appear that having Adobe Reader in Full-Screen mode when viewing a PDF stops the auto-lock feature in Windows.

We have a GPO that applies a automatic screen lock should there be no interaction on the machine for 5 minutes.  However, if you leave a PDF open in Full-Screen, this seems to over-ride this and keeps the screen from automatically locking.

Quite a concerning security risk for all IT managers right now.  Please advise.

What Reader product are you running, and version? It it is indeed Adobe Reader, that is EOL. The current product is Acrobat Reader DC.

BUMP

I think it's pathetic that your only contact for support on this product is this forum where no one treats anything with any urgency (or even replies).

Furthermore, following your 'report a vulnerability' process, the PGP key page is "Not Found".  Absolute joke.

It's ironic that, having established that this is a community forum where you don't find Adobe staff, you now use "your" as if Adobe will read your message. But I know how frustrating this is. Still, free software doesn't get free support, it's a basic rule of staying in business, so Adobe leave it up to our happy band of volunteers.

Useless product. Another business moving away from it.

Yeah all these volunteers and their suggestions are really useful!
