I had an Adobe Pro subscription that I didnt use. So I decided to cancel it and disintalled the programme. I have now been trying to instal adobe reader and it keeps failing. Yet, ironically, if I try to install again the paid one, that works a charm.
Any help?

@loredana_6918 When you cancel an Adobe subscription (especially a monthly or annual plan billed monthly), the service often remains active until the end of the current billing cycle you've already paid for. When you install Adobe Acrobat Pro, it's the same base application as Adobe Reader; your subscription is what unlocks the "Pro" features. In other words, when you "install Reader" after canceling Pro, you are likely just launching the same application that was already installed. The application itself will often continue to display the "Pro" interface or branding until it officially checks your account status on your subscription's expiration date. The features should become locked/disabled once your paid subscription period officially ends.
Honestly, you may even still be charged a cancellation fee. Sometimes it's better to keep what you have, and wait until it's expired versus paying for another fee!

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your Adobe account and unable to find any active plan for Adobe Acrobat Pro. As described, the Acrobat Reader installation keeps on failing? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for more clarity.
Also, you may try to the Acrobat cleaner tool https://adobe.ly/4nInKra , reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the direct linkhttps://adobe.ly/3Wz8v7L and see if that helps.
