Adobe Reader Issues in Internet Explorer 11

New Here ,

Hi,

We are experiencing an issue with a couple of PDF documents when opened in Internet Explorer. I haven't seen this issue anywhere else online and I'm wondering if anybody has experienced this issue or if they might have a solution. I have a link below to a fillable pdf form:

http://www.riverside.courts.ca.gov/selfhelp/flpackets/arrears_packet.pdf

Everything seems to work fine when I save the file to my computer or when I open the link in Google Chrome. When I run this file on Internet Explorer (Version shown below) the data seems to delete itself after you scroll onto page 7. Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. You can fill out the information some of the information on the first page
  2. Scroll down and you'll see that it autofills some information on pages as you scroll down.
  3. Keep scrolling until you scroll onto page 7.
  4. Scroll back up and you'll see all of the information was deleted.

As you repeat the steps again, you'll notice the filled fields will not be deleted again and you will be able to complete the form. It seems that if at any time you scroll past page 7, it will no longer delete the information input on the fields. Does anyone know what might cause this issue and how to fix it while still using Internet Explorer?

Thank you!

Hi kylee65940170,

The link http://www.riverside.courts.ca.gov/selfhelp/flpackets/arrears_packet.pdf  you shared doesn't seem to be working. Can you verify that from your end?

Regards

Soumik

Hi soumiik011,

Yes the link should be working. If the link continues to be a problem for you, you can try to navigate to it from the website.

  1. Go to The Superior Court of California, County of Riverside
  2. Go to the "Self-Help" tab and select "Families and Children"
  3. In the middle of the page, click the blue link that says "Family Law Packets"
  4. Near the bottom of this page there is a bulleted list. Select the "Request for Order Regarding Overdue Support"

That form is the same one that I have on the link. Let me know if you're still having issues.

Thank you,

-Kyle

Hi Bernd Alheit,

Have you tried following my steps in my recent response? I tested this using 4G on my phone even and it works. Are you unable to reach

www.riverside.courts.ca.gov/ even?

Thank you,

-Kyle

Hi Bernd Alheit,

Well you must have a firewall or something that might be blocking you from that link. People go to this link everyday with no issue. Try to access that link off of your network at some time if you can because it is definitely working. In any case, have you ever heard of the issue I brought up initially in this thread? Is there a way I can send you the PDF so that you can check and see what could be causing the issue?

Thank you,

-Kyle

In Acrobat Reader DC use "Send & Track" and share the link.

Hi Bernd Alheit,

Here is the link to the file:

https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/ed50efec-eb93-4d97-819d-c2e43c139747

It may not occur possibly unless you get the file from the original link I sent you, but you can at least look at the file and see if there is anything off about it that we can update.

Thank you,

-Kyle
