Adobe Reader on macOS Sierra 10.12.5 won't show files unless I select full screen. HELP.

Currently on macOS Sierra 10.12.5.

Trying to open PDF files in Adobe Reader.
Whilst the program opens, the file doesn't actually appear. The only way I can view any files if it's in full screen mode.

Otherwise, no luck. Please send help.

The same thing has just happened to me, but I am running El Capitan 10.11.6.

Totally out of the blue today, Reader has stopped showing me any PDFs, unless I enter full screen mode. It was working fine this morning, but since then, PDF files do open (I can see them in the list of open files), but cannot be viewed unless I enter full screen mode.

I've made no changes to my system.

I've restarted the Mac since I've had the problem.

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the current version of Reader.

I've tried various PDFs that I know have worked before and the problem is the same.

Thanks to gmewhite26 for mentioning full screen mode. It was only because of this title he used that I thought of trying it.

Please help...

Bizarrely, the problem has resolved itself yesterday. I can now open PDFs as normal. I’ve not done anything different, installed any updates, or made any changes that I’m aware of.

It would be nice to know why it happened in the first place.
