ADOBE SLOW!!

Community Beginner ,

We currently use Adobe Acrobat and have been having problems for months with slow response and opening.  It is truly hindering our work production and my attorneys are becoming increasingly frustrated.  I have been on these boards time and time again and have tried many of what are deemed "fixes" for it to work for a short time, and within a week or two to revert right back to the slow response.  I have checked to ensure that the settings were not rechecked when an update was done.  I have checked for updates almost daily in hopes a fix would be created.  Does anyone have any long term solution for this problem?  We pay A LOT of money for our licenses and to be this frustrated is really an issue.  CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT should be started.

Hi,

I was struggling with a 900 pages document with 1000 comments and it was veeeery sloooow to go from one comment to another, to a different page, etc...

I changed the following, and it is very much faster now:
Go to menu "Acrobat -> Preferences -> General" and check only the following:

"Create links from URL"

"Open documents as new tabs..." and

"Prompt before closing multiple tabs".

Leave EVERYTHING ELSE  unchecked and see if it is faster.

Before those settings, I checked "Activity Monitor", CPU Tab and the Acrobat was from 80 to 100%!!!

After those settings, I checked "Activity Monitor", CPU Tab, and Acrobat is from 2 (!!!)  to 30-35%!
