Hi,

I have some large document and have to find word.

Although embedded index shows as ready, advanced search was too slow.

In case of embedded index: Advance Search execution time is 6 minutes and 36 seconds

In case of non -embedded index, Advance Search execution time is

I think index seems not working properly.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it locally to your computer and check.

Also go to Edit > Preferences > Search > Under fast find select 'Enable fast find' and click on 'Purge cache contents' > Click OK and reboot the application and check.

You may also go through the help article https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2014/07/29/speed-up-pdf-search-with-an-embedded-index and check.

Regards

Amal

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that the issue still exists.

Please update the application to the recent version 22.1.20169 from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works for you.

Regards

Amal
