After having more than 4000 highlights in one pdf, my Acrobat Reader will crash so easily

Hello,

I really like Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for its powerful highlight function. But I get a problem today.

I use Acrobat Reader DC to read my e-textbooks and make highlights. These textbooks are lengthy and thick, and I make highlights quite frequently. Today one of the e-book pdf reaches more than 4000 highlights. Suddenly, the Reader begins to crash every time when I right click any of my highlight to open "properties" after opening the Comment tool.

Besides, it seems that the Reader will scan all the thousands of highlights every time the Comment tool is clicked and opened, and this opening and scanning process will last for minutes and occupy 30% percent of my CPU capacity.

I provide a small video of 2 mins for reference. In this video I didn't do anything for around 1 min because I was waiting for the Reader to finish scanning the highlights. Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.

It's OK for me to wait for the scanning, but NOT OK to have unexpected crash like this. What should I do about this?

Thanks!
