after insalatoin it says newer version already installed when in fact its not true

I hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble and delayed response.

Since it shows already installed, try the below steps:

1. Restart the computer;

2. Please run the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html. To remove any traces of the previously installed version;

4. Once downloaded, try to install the newly-downloaded file.
