Try opening a form,.... and this message appears?

The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher.

You may not have the Adobe Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to use Adobe Reader.

For information on how to install Adobe Reader and configure your viewing environment please see http://www.adobe.com/go/pdf_forms_configure.

Adobe support dumped me into here.   Wonderful !!

I'm not sure what this has to do with Dreamweaver since it's a question about Acrobat or Acrobat Reader.

PDFs are not web documents.  As such, they require helper applications to be viewed.  And unfortunately for many people, browsers are phasing out support for all Active X and NPAPI plugins including Acrobat.

Why do Java, Silverlight, Adobe Acrobat and other plugins no longer work? | Firefox Help

Firefox has its own PDF reader now but it's useless for interactive forms.  So you would need to SAVE the PDF to your hard drive and launch it directly in Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Reader.

    Thank you Nancy,

I did save a version of the pdf directly to my computer, but it seems to be

missing 'fill able'' fields (gray shaded areas) within the form itself.

Please forgive me for choosing the Dreamweaver forum,... I'm not a software

or adobe guru,... I'm just a man

    Thanks again.

I can't see anything as this web forum does not support email attachments.

I believe it's 'adobe acrobat reader dc 17.012.20098'
