Application unable to Start correctly 0xc0000022 || 0x00000022

Below are the steps you may try to resolve this issue.

  • Save your work and close all the applications.
  • Run the repair for the of Microsoft visual C++ 2013 Redistributable(x64&x86) and try again.

         - To repair: Go to > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features > Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 (right click and repair)

  • If the above step doesn't help. Uninstall it completely and try reinstalling it.

        - You may download the setup using this link from Microsoft Download Centre: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=40784

  • Restarting your machine.
  • Locate the application icon>right click on it>choose run as an administrator.
  • Follow the steps from the following KB doc to run the application as administrator permanently Run an Adobe program as administrator | Windows 7, Vista (This is also applicable to Windows 10 operating system)

Thank you!  After running the the repair as instructed I no longer get the annoying "Application unable to Start correctly Error: 0xc0000022" error when opening PDF files with Adobe Reader.

It didn't solve anything !!!! Could Adobe team give us a tip ?

It is really a very common problem for many users ...
