Are these even grid lines and how to get rid of them?

Hi!

I have clicked something in my Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and it has resulted in my PDF having a transparant grey-white blocked lay-out (see picture).

Does any of you know what this is and how I can get rid of them? I thought I might be grid lines and tried to delete them via View -> Show/Hide -> Ruler & Grids

However, Grids is not an option.

Thanks if anyone could help me!

Disable the transparency grid in the preferences.

If you want to keep the ruler but get rid of the grid, in Prefs (Units and Guides), set your layout grid width between lines to 8.5 and your length to 11 for portrait view.
