Bad Image and Fatal Error messages

New Here ,
Mar 05, 2017 Mar 05, 2017

I have been having trouble printing downloaded documents.  I get the following messages:

AcroRd32.exe - Bad Image

C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\Cool Type.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.  Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.  Error Status 0xc000012f

and

Fatal Error

Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL

Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it?  I have no phone support for this software from Adobe, which I think is absolutely ridiculous!  I never had this issue before.

Yes I get a similar problem:

C:\Windows\system32\HD.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

What does this mean as it keeps popping up when I view a PDF File? Even when I purchased just today for the monthly subscription???

Thanks.

This message has nothing to do with Acrobat. That module, HD.DLL is not part of Windows and not installed or used by Acrobat or any Adobe software. And this has nothing to do with earlier postings in this particular thread.

Doing an internet search, it appears to be a module installed by some game software or possibly some virus on your system.

I recommend you do a deep virus scan of your system as soon as possible.
