Can someone please tell me why there is no fix for the error that pops up every time you open a pdf with the letters "CR" in the document name.

I was having the same issue.  Apparently it is related to your browser settings and is applicable to both the Reader and the full Acrobat version.  Once I applied the instructions, it worked like a charm.

    Please see this help link:

We recently rolled out Acrobat Reader Vers. 10.1.3(Previously 9.5) and are experiencing now the same Issues.

What we already found out and tried :

This appears not only if the 'CR' is in the document name but also if it is anywere in the Filepath eg. "C:\Documents and Settings\CR\123.pdf"

Because of Concern spezifications we cannot enable the "Protected Mode on Startup"

and adding the registry-key(description from http://patrickhoban.wordpress.com/2011/07/09/124/) didn't solved the problem.

The real problem now is, that we got many auto-generated contents that sometimes create files or paths that contain those two letters,

so we really hope there is a acceptable Solution for this.
