Can someone please tell me why there is no fix for the error that pops up every time you open a pdf with the letters "CR" in the document name.

We recently rolled out Acrobat Reader Vers. 10.1.3(Previously 9.5) and are experiencing now the same Issues.

What we already found out and tried :

This appears not only if the 'CR' is in the document name but also if it is anywere in the Filepath eg. "C:\Documents and Settings\CR\123.pdf"

Because of Concern spezifications we cannot enable the "Protected Mode on Startup"

and adding the registry-key(description from http://patrickhoban.wordpress.com/2011/07/09/124/) didn't solved the problem.

The real problem now is, that we got many auto-generated contents that sometimes create files or paths that contain those two letters,

so we really hope there is a acceptable Solution for this.

I was having the same issue.  Apparently it is related to your browser settings and is applicable to both the Reader and the full Acrobat version.  Once I applied the instructions, it worked like a charm.
