Broken Words or Garbled Text

When I convert a PDF file to a Word document, both word.doc and word.docx, the words are broken up with spaces placed randomly. Some letters are also transposed to other letters. This makes the document really hard to read and impossible to work with. How can I fix this?

    1. What method—exactly—are you using to create the PDF from Word?
    2. Are you looking at the result in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat or a third-party viewer?

      Hi, Barb,

      thanks for reaching out to me quickly.

      1. I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed on my Toshiba laptop. I am

      using the Convert button. I tried converting to both *.doc and *.docx files.

      2. I tried viewing it from several sources.

      - Using the little dialog box that shows the conversion progress on the

      We're sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. As per the description above, you are getting a garbled text while converting a PDF to Word, Is that correct?

      The record shows that you are subscribed to Adobe ExportPDF service, try exporting the PDF through the URL https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf with your Adobe ID and password on a browser like Chrome, or Firefox, or Safari and see if this makes any difference.

      have you tried converting any other PDF? Is the issue specific to one PDF? If yes, is it possible to share the PDF with us so that we can test it at our end?
