I downloaded the Adobe app because I tried opening a PDF file on a new computer and a notice popped up saying that "if this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to dispplay this type of document" it then refered me to Adobe Reader to Download Adobe Reader and I did. I created an account as asked and still cannot open the document.

I have a similar issue. I cannot open documents from email. The circle keeps spinning and the top says "not responding". There is no place to get help. The virtual assistant sent me a link but no phone number, no solutions. How am I supposed to get my work done?

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the error 'if this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document' while opening the PDF
Please look at the steps provided in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/pdf-won-t-display-please-wait/td-p/4788543?page=1 and see if that works for you.
@jessiCa please try to download the PDF to your computer and then try to open it with Acrobat Reader DC and check. You may also look at the steps provided in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/cant-open-pdf.html
