Hi, I have just downloaded the free Acrobat Reader DC to my PC via Google Chrome. I am trying to open a PDF [ form that is on the USA Government site for customs declaration, but it won't open online, any ideas?

[title edited for clarity — was “reader dc”]

Which document? Where did you try to open it? If you can't download it then of course it won't be possible to open it. That's a problem with the website, not the document, though.

    Hi Steve,

    What is the URL?

Can you try a second browser?

Once you open it, you will need to download it. Then check it’s location before you fill it out. You can do a Save As to save it to a new location or move it to a new location, but you want to make sure you know what it has been saved so you can open it again.

First of all, I moved your question to the Acrobat Reader forum. The Forum Comments forum is for comments about the forums themselves.

You should save the file to your local computer and then open it in Reader directly, instead of opening it in the browser.

Thanks for that, you can probably guess I'm new to this!

The browser uses its own reader which is known for not implementing the full PDF standard.
