Can't Reinstall Reader

My new Macbook Air had to be wiped clean and reinstalled from a backup. But now, Adobe won't work.

I tried deleting and reinstalling it and it says the Installer had an unexpected error. I thought it was a Mac issue but I created a test account and the same thing happened there. So, is it an Adobe issue?

It doesn't really give me an "installer". Just this:

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader.

 

What we'd suggest here is to open your browser in incognito mode and download the installer package from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Download | Free PDF viewer for Windows, Mac OS, Android
