Can't sign documents with Adobe Acrobat Reader

Hi, I need help signing a form with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

If I select the sign tool I can't do anything because the sign tab that pops out remains gray.

I read other answers and I checked the file properties, sign is allowed, plus I can't contact the file owner cause it's a canadian governmental file.

Any options?

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and try again.

Also please share the PDF file with us for checking.

Also make sure you have the recent version of the application 21.11.20039 installed. Go to help > check for updates and rebooot the computer once.
