I use free Adobe Reader 15.23.20070.215641. Every week or evere few days automatic update start, but something is wrong and update can't be install. I don't have flat-rate internet - I have 6GB monthly and I don't want to spend MB for any updating!
I was disconnect all Adobe processes in my System configuration (service and startup) - but somehow updater starting over and over .... I don't have updater option in preference - I CAN'T DISCONNECT THESE UPDATES! I DON't WANT UPDATES AND I DON't NEED IT!
I'm one step from uninstall Reader for ever for my computer!

You cannot turn off updating in Reader except by installing the "Classic" version instead of the default "Continuous" version.
You say you don't need updates, but there are important security fixes to protect you. I think this is why they are compulsory.

How can I install classic version?
How is possible that someone force me with updates? I only need reader to read stuff from net - don't need nothing more.

That's exactly why you need updates - because you think you don't need them, so you wouldn't keep up to date or read security bulletins. The people attacking us with stuff on the net are very smart, and can attack within days of a weakness being found. This is not good, but that's the world we live in.
I don't know where the Classic Reader is found, it is aimed at large companies.

I don't have MB for upgrades - I have only 6GB monthly for Internet. Because of that I turnoff Windows updates too. I just delete Adobe Reader and install Free eXPert PDF Reader. That is ok for my need.
I don't like that someone force me to do something what I don't want. So Reader can't be on my PC any more!

Wait until you get Windows 10. It has an even stronger forced update policy for everyone. It think it’s our future and I don’t like it.
