cannot print fdf

This morning i tried printing an internet coupon which downloads in FDF format. I did the same thing yesterday and it worked perfectly. Today I received an error message saying that the printer in invalid.
I restarted the macbook (MacOS BigSur), reinstalled the printer, deleted and reinstalled adobe acrobat, but nothing has worked. I tried printing a regular pdf i opened in acrobat and it worked, but the fdf will not. How can I solve this problem?

You can't print an FDF file on its own. It only contains form data. I mean, technically you can, but it will be meaningless.

You need to import it into a PDF file first, and then you'll be able to print that.

the FDF file is generated automatically when i click on the coupon link
online, then it takes me to the adobe reader and it usually prints it
automatically (there is a message box that asks: are you sure you want to
print? and i click allow, and it prints). I have done this many times even
yesterday.
however today it suddenly showed a message box saying my printer is invalid
and it has been temporarily blocked and i should contact support.
I am not understanding what has happened since the system worked perfectly
until this morning. (i've restarted the computer, reinstalled the printer,
reinstalled adobe etc, nothing worked)

There must be a PDF file somewhere. Maybe it's in the link you got...

I would contact the company that sent you the coupon and report this issue to them, including the code that appears in the error message. Maybe they used some kind of protection to limit the number of times you can print the file or something.
