Certain PDFs completely freeze Adobe Reader

New Here ,
Sep 12, 2019 Sep 12, 2019

I have attached the dxdiag for my system which otherwise works perfectly. I work in the construction industry and we look through plans of all sizes and complexities -- from a few pages to a few thousand pages with differing transparencies and comments.

While Reader being painfully slow at times is nothing new, there are some files that will completely freeze it (as in, "not responding" indefinitely). I can't attach the files here due to size and security constraints. At this point, after un/re-installing and ensuring everything is on the up and up from a system standpoint, I am in the dark on the next steps to take.

Some people in the office can open the same file and it will navigate fine (even though very slowly). I'm looking for some advice on what I can do to fix this issue. Thanks to anyone for their help.
