Change Reader Default

I can not export  a file from my photo editor as jpg. The editor indicates it is being exported as jpg file but in my file folder the photo is pdf.The editor help line is telling me that Adobe Acrobat Reader is converting it to pdf by default. How can I change the default so my export will not be pdf? I am using Win 10.

Reader cannot convert anything to a pdf. It is just a pdf viewer.

Are they actually being converted to pdf or are you just seeing an Adobe icon on the .jpg files? Try and open one with Reader. Does it open? If so, they are indeed pdf files and you will need to look at your image editor settings to see why it is making pdf files. If you try and open one then get an error message along the lines of "Adobe Reader cannot open filename.jpg because it is not a supported file type..." That just means yo

That just means your file associations are messed up. That is easy to fix but is done differently from one operating system to the next.
