Change the color of text highlighted by ctrl+f

New Here ,
Sep 27, 2017 Sep 27, 2017

I am partially sighted. When I find text using ctrl+f, I find the results are hard to locate. Is there a way of customising the appearance of the found text?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Any pointers would be appreciated....

Hi Sorcerer,

Sorry, there isn't as such setting that you can change to allow changes in the searched text colors.

If I understand correctly, you have referred to the color of searched text through founder?

Regards,

Akanchha

Yes - I am referring to the highlighting of the text found by the "Find" (ctrl+f) function.

Surely it can't be just me that has this problem. I'm surprised rthat Adobe doesn't have a "settings" option for this.

I agree wholeheartedly.  BLUE is hard to see.  How about YELLOW, or as the previous poster noted, make it user changeable.

You can try color options in the accessibility of the preferences.

I don't see any Accessibility options in the free version of Reader.

Edit > Preferences...

What can you see there?

Yes, there were some changes that could be made: Edit>Preferences>Accessibility .  I then checked 'Replace document colors', and also 'Use Windows color scheme'.  That helped a bit.  It would be nice when in the 'Find' mode, that a box or circle could also be drawn around the Highlighted text.

In Adobe Pro, if you deselect "Always use the system selection color" in the Preference / Accessibility, it will highlight the search result in a gray background. screenshot below...
