I have received a PDF file as an attachment to an email and can open and view and print it from within the email but when I save the file to my computer and then try to open the file I get an error message saying that CIDFont+F1 cannot be created or found. The file opens but the text is just displayed as a series of dots.
I have confirmed that I am using the most current version of Adobe Reader.
Any advice on what the problem might be and how to resolve would be appreciated.
Just had the same problem.
I opened the pdf in Preview then exported as PDF.
Perfect usable file!!

you can use Rockwell and Arial, this will adjust the text!

Would you mind elaborating more on "live type?"
Are you trying to edit a document immediately after editing it through Preview?

Greetings. My language might be dated. I'm referring to text that I can use my Type tool to edit. Preview rasterizes the PDF and, from what I can see, gives no vector option to >Preserve Text Editability. My question is: does anybody know how to maintain the vector type editability when converting to Preview?
Thanx. Enjoy a splendid day.

Hi @jonl85764956,
Thanks for writing back!
Please feel free to respond to us in the language you are comfortable with. The translation feature is available on the community forums.
That being said, I am still trying to figure out if this is related to Acrobat.
To help us understand better, can you please share a screen recording of what you are trying to achieve? This will enable us to share concrete troubleshooting steps.
Regards,
Souvik.
