When I use the clipping feature of Acrobat Reader DC to clip something from a PDF file and paste it into a Word document, sometimes the pasted in object is distorted and sometimes it appears just as it did in the PDF. Does anyone know why? I can use the built-in Windows 10 Snip & Sketch application to do the clip copy/paste and it always work just fine. It would just be more convenient if the Acrobat clip copy was always good to paste into Word.

Amal,
Thanks for your input.
I do have the latest version, but the article "Copy Contents from PDFs, Adobe Reader" was very helpful. I experience the problem when I would scan in a page from a book and then open that scan file. The clipping tool would appear without my having to specifically choose "Take a Snapshot". When I used that tool to select an area, some buttons would appear, one of which was "Copy." I would select that button and then paste the selection into Word. But often the pasted version would be distorted (compressed horizontally). However, after reading the article and learning there was a specific "Take a Snapshot" tool, I tried that and the pasted copy was undistorted. I will use that method from now on.
Thanks again,
Nick

Please give still the dot version as the "latest" for you does not exactly mean the latest for others. Also with time, this will change and the "latest" will not be true anymore. You can do so by clicking "Help-->About Adobe Acrobat Reader..."

I didn't specify the version number because it was already shown in the thread (reply from AmalJ), but to repeat the version number is 2019.012.20036.

Sorry, I didn't read that and was not aware that you were referring to that version.
