Comment tool shows the bounding box for the first comment

Whenever I try to comment using the comment tool, the first comment on a page always shows the bounding box (on the page itself). Subsequent comments on the same page do not show the bounding box. Any way to get rid of the default bounding box for the first comment?

I assume that you are referring to the commenting notes populated while adding the comments to the pdf (as shown in the picture below)?

If this is the case then you may change the commenting preferences by going to. Reader>Edit>Preferences>Commenting> Check "Hide comment pop-ups when comments list is open"
