Connection Refused (111) Error When Downloading Reader From Adobe FTP Site

Hello,

I am sometimes seeing a connection refused error (111) when accessing/downloading reader DC from the following URL:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/AcrobatDC

The funny thing is that the error is sporadic. For example, sometimes I am able to successfully access the above URL (i.e. I am able to see the reader DC version directories), but other times I cannot (i.e. I see the connection refused error). Likewise, when I click on a subdirectory like the following:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/AcrobatDC/1901220034/

Sometimes I am able to access it, sometimes I am not.

About my environment, I am going through a proxy server but there is no filtering set in place. When I look at the proxy logs I can see that nothing is being blocked, the HTTP GET is going through unhindered. So for some reason, the connection is being rejected at Adobe's servers.

Can someone shed some light on why this is happening or does anybody have a fix?

Hi Cpcent,

Apologies for the delay in response, I hope you would be able to download the Adobe Reader by now.

If the problem still persists, you may try downloading the application(Latest version) using the link- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Let us know if that works for you

Regards,

Amal
