Hi all,
As of about one year ago (perhaps with an update), every time I copy and paste from ANY PDF document using Adobe Reader DC into Word 2018-2019 (Macintosh) the resulting text is in superscript font, forcing me to manually remove the superscript. I do a lot of research-based outlines where I copy and paste a lot, and this issue is driving me mad.
Please note I use paste and match formatting in Microsoft Word, so all pasted text should match my formatting in the Word document, which is Times New Roman 12 pt and NOT in superscript. Thus, it is clearly an issue from when the information is copied from Adobe Reader to the clipboard, and not an issue with Word!
I've copied and pasted from Preview (Apple's Reader DC equivalent) into Word, and it pastes with matched formatting perfectly and there is no superscript issue. However, I would prefer to use Reader DC as it's full-screen function is much better than Preview.
Please kindly help me figure out how I can make sure all text copied from Reader DC and pasted (using match formatting) into Word actually matches my formatting and does NOT appear in superscript.
Many thanks!

Hello Patrickn,
I am sorry for the trouble, what is the current version of Adobe Reader installed? To identify, please refer to the help article Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC
I tried replicating the issue at my end with the latest version of Adobe Reader DC 19.010.20098 on Mac Mojave 10.14.1 and when copied and pasted font from a PDF file to Microsft Word v 16.22, the font pasted was correct and there was no difference.
Make sure that the 'Keep Source Formatting' is selected under 'Paste option' in Microsoft Word. As when I selected 'Match Destination Formatting' the pasted word was in Superscript. And this could be that the formatting in the Word document is selected as Superscript.
Are you experiencing this issue with one specific PDF file or is it with all the PDF file?
Is it possible to share a sample PDF file with us so that we can test it at our end? If yes, please share the file by private message only How Do I Send Private Message
Let us know how it goes and share your observation.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Thank you for your reply. Here are the responses to your questions.
MacOS Version: Mojave 10.14.3
Adobe Reader DC Version: 2019.010.200098 and further product info - Architecture: x86_64 Build: 19.10.20098.316574 AGM: 4.30.84 CoolType: 5.14.5 JP2K: 1.2.2.42832
Word Version: 16.22 (190211)
As stated above, this issue occurs with all PDFs. It does not occur when I open a PDF in Preview and copy and paste to Word from PDF in Preview (Apple's Reader). Also, I am 100% sure that my formatting in my Word document is Times New Roman 12 pt and NO superscript
I do not see where there is "Keep Source Formatting" in the Paste opions. In my Word, under edit, I have Paste, Paste Special, and Paste and Match Formatting. The Paste Special brings up a dialog box, and is basically the same as me having to change everything away from superscript manually. I want to use "Paste and Match Formatting", which matches the formatting of my Word document, which again is not in superscript.
This has not been an issue until about a year ago.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Patrick

Thanks. I went to the link regarding how to send a private message, which is from 2013. It seems your website has changed since then as the link you provided no longer adequately explains how to send a private message with attachments. I could not locate the "My Stuff" after looking for 20 minutes. Nor could I send a message with attachments when I click your name and then go to "Message". Please advise on how I should send these documents to you. Thanks.
