Corrupted installation / is there a fix?
ALL of your faq's and forum answers ASSUME a good install of a previous version of adobe reader. I'm running Win7, my computer CRASHED leaving Reader as not able to fix itself!!!
I can't install the correct version because it can't be found, Ver.# 11.0.15, AND your internet get reader page told me to install Reader DC. That was the **worst thing** that it could have done so far, because the *on-line install* ended with the internet installer not able to find some network connection. SO NOW I'm left with a half installation of DC and I can't install an older version because it, the internet installer, says that I have a newer version already installed and besides that, my *****Control Panel/Programs and Features***** can't uninstall anything because it too comes up with the same "can't find the proper network version" pop up. Apparently it's looking for some acroread.msi file that I have no idea what it's talking about!!!
SO, I guess my question is this:
Q. Does adobe have an uninstaller that will delete ALL of the registration entries AND files from botched installations so I can begin anew????
ADDITIONALLY - what happened to the normal FREE Reader???? This DC version wants some kind of "subscription" something or another?? WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT????????????????? I'm not about to pay for some Reader "subscription" when all other previous versions of reader AND IT'S BROWSER PLUGINS are FREE!!!!
Is there ANYONE here that can help in this situation????????????
