Hello,

Currently trying to implement a PDf form with an image field, where the user loads a jpeg file from his computer into the form. Found this support page, but…

“Form filling: The Javascript function event.target.buttonImportIcon() now supports Image file types – jpg, png, gif, and tiff – in Reader. “

This does not work in computers with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC that don't have Acrobat Pro Installed. Only PDF files can be imported into the form field.

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/support-for-image-and-date-fields-in-acroforms.html

Is there any other way?

Thanks.

They need to update to the very latest version of Reader DC and then it should work.

As I mentioned above, this will only work with the latest version of Reader DC. You need to upgrade if you want access to this feature.

Thank you try67. I wasn't even aware of the distinction. The online help isn't clear - doesn't mention Reader DC...Support for Image and Date fields in Acroforms I have it working now. I can get on with developing the form I need. Regards, Ben.
