Data entry on PDF files - Telephone Numbers

I have been completing a PDF file (Form) with address details, etc. However, when I try to place a zero at the front of the telephone number (e.g. 07 - 07 is the State of Queensland area code in Australia), it will not allow a zero input as the first numeric.

The telephone number is 07 xxxxx049 but the input is restricted to just 7 xxxxx049 NOT permitting the leading zero to be input onto the form. The zero is required to be dialled when making a call from interstate within Australia.

Why is this a problem when the input is ALL numeric?

Thanks for anyone helping on this.

If the field's Format is set to "Number" then the application will automatically strip any leading zeros. It's up to the author of the form to select a Format that is suitable to the type of data that is going to be used in the fields. You should report problems with it to them.

There's nothing you can do about it with just the free Reader.

Thank you for your help - I will take that up with them. I suspected that it may be the case.
