To quickly find a PDF, search for the filename (Where are the filenames?) in Windows.
Then navigate to the found folder, right-click the PDF file, and choose Delete (Windows)
Not one of these things happens when I follow the instructions. I am (obviously) not too bright about using computers, but this just doesn't make any sense to me. Isn't there an easy way to just delete a pdf file???
Thanks for any help.

To delete it, you have to find it. Unfortunately, this isn't a Reader issue. The instructions you included look fine to me. You need to open Windows Explorer (not to be confused with Internet Exploror, the web browser). If it doesn't find the pdf you're looking for, maybe it isn't on your computer? Why would you think it is on your computer? Knowing that might help us get you some help.

You certainly can’t delete PDF files using Acrobat Reader. You need to learn how to use Windows to delete any file.

Different question, different answer. In iOS, each app manages its own files. https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobat/ios/en/managefilesfolders.html

Try a search in a file manager.

Because you've added this to an old discussion about the Windows Acrobat Reader, the chances are that it won't be seen by the people who could help. I see you've posted in the Acrobat Reader mobile forum, so I suggest we consider this discussion closed, so you can focus on that one. Good luck! https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-mobile/ipados-13-4-ipad-air-2-unable-to-delete-files/t...

If you have the file open in Reader you can easily access its location in Windows Explorer and then delete it from there.
To do so go to File - Properties - Description and it will be listed under Location. The text is actually a link that will open the folder where the file is located and even select it for you. However, you'll have to close the Properties window and the file itself before you could delete it from that folder.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
